Normally I am reluctant to let go of summer--I live for the bright light and warm days, the long daylight hours, the ability to wake early with ease. But, as the temperatures start to drop, kids return to school, and there is generally less "busy-ness," I start to feel my body relax and feel more ready for the Fall.
The lead up to Fall has been fast-paced, full of plans and obligations. September brought some visits with friends near and far. We had a few more renovations at home, including the transformation of a huge sliding glass door to a central entry door. We also moved my mom into our home, which has been years in the planning! All of the animals are learning to tolerate each other, and we are slowly unpacking.
Today I spent some time in the studio cleaning--next week I will be able to resume a regular schedule in there. And what a time to do so, with metal prices skyrocketing like crazy! I am excited to get back to creating and have many ideas that have been brewing for a while. Below is just a peek at a few things in process such as handmade chains and a gold and silver ring.
How are you inviting Fall in, or easing into it? This weekend will see a visit from family and I am so excited to jump into some Fall festivities with them!
